Athletic Background |
Warren Bailey North Vancouver, British Columbia Age: 40
TEAM CAPTAIN |
Afraid of snakes, bugs, and the dark.
Dislike being wet, and/or cold.
I've done my fair share of racing in the woods. Some of it worked out, some not-so-much. Have gleefully eaten gummy-bears found in the dirt on a logging road. Went for 18 hours with no food in RTN Extreme '03; then consumed 2 bags of prunes at the TA. There's nothing like following poor planning with bad judgement. |
Tania Xenis Deroche, British Columbia Age: 33 artist |
I've done many many things. Most of them not worth mentioning. The ones worth mentioning would scare my family so I will refrain from writing them down here. Use your imaginations. |
Pete Kingdon Calgary, Alberta Age: 36
|
Trail running, biking, canoeing, hiking, scrambling, that sort of thing. |
Lannie Thielen Lethbridge, Alberta Age: 28 Manager |
Entering my fifth year of adventure racing. I have competed in several team races and solo distance races over this time. I truely enjoy the Raid the North for their ability to get us lost, yet for some reason we feel safe? |

We're eager to experience what is surely to be a stellar and epic course. Looking forward to racing with old friends, and new.
The rugged BC North will definitely be our toughest competitor, except maybe for Zietsma, Hitchon, and Koch; and the rain; OK, the cold and snow too.. but other than that it's all gravy (MMmmmm, gravy....).
