Our ropes sections have included anything from a 150 ft rappel overlooking
a 2000 ft deep valley, to a Tyrolean traverse in front of a raging
waterfall. These are the adrenaline rush sections of the race as
we look for the spots that will wow you the most.
Although the rope section is likely to get your
heart pumping, they are all set up to be very safe and monitored
closely by qualified guides. No particular certifications are required
for rope sections in our 36-hour races and we always provide an
'escape route' for those that don't feel up to the challenge. We
also offer guide-assisted techniques for competitors to complete
the ropes if requested. We love to offer these thrills in our 36-hour
races but don't want it to be a limiting factor for those hoping
to compete.
Since each race is designed to suit the challenges
a particular region has to offer, not all Raid the North races include
rope sections.
