For many, the Muskoka Region conjures up fond childhood memories like first camping trips, learning how to paddle a canoe, and seeing a moose for the first time. It is a magnificent landscape that holds a very special place in the hearts of all Eastern Canadian outdoor enthusiasts.

Now, experience Muskoka with more adrenaline in your system! Grab two friends or strangers, or go solo, and join us on Saturday, May 2 to kick off your summer adventure racing season, as we take you off the beaten path in the Frontier Adventure Challenge - Huntsville.

ONE WEEKEND - MANY RACES This race weekend will have a festive atmosphere with events for everyone!
  • The High School Adventure Challenge happens on Sunday, May 3. Hundreds of high school students from across the province will be on hand for the Saturday race, taking sport clinics, preparing for their adventure on Sunday, and looking to you for inspiration.
  • Teachers & Family of students racing on Sunday - Saturday's race will feature several course options allowing you to create a shorter, fun version of the full race, and get a real taste for this addictive sport without overdoing it!

MAKE IT A WEEKEND: Why rush home? Stay for the post-race awards and party. Get a great deal on a condo at Deerhurst. Book a spa treatment. Volunteer for the High School race on Sunday. And by all means, help us make their finish line rowdy!

TOP-NOTCH COURSE DESIGN Course design and development by Geoff Langford. Every year, we discover more wilderness in the area, and come up with new things to do with it. A fresh, new racecourse with some fun, new twists will keep things exciting!

PRIZING: You can expect the usual cornucopia of prizing, swag, draws and race entries from our sponsors and race partners (see prizing details below).

WIN RACE DISCOUNTS: Top teams in each category, and the top solo racer, are each rewarded with a 50% discount on the Fall Classic and Championships in September.

WE "AR" WOMEN!

Congratulations to Rebecca LeBlanc and Kimberly van Walsum, who will be joining AR legend Trish Westman (Team Supplierpipeline & Salomon Bobkittens) as Team We AR Women at Deerhurst. Trish will share her wisdom and experience with Kimberly and Rebecca, who are both moms on a quest to redefine adventure in their lives. They'll have a lot in common with Trish, who is a new mom to 11-month old Kai.

Also watch for Team We AR Women Too - another AR superstar, Denise Rispolie (Team Running Free) will captain this team, with Lucy Dorman and Anna Bollinger, who won this contest for our cancelled winter race. Congrats to Lucy and Anna, and thanks to Denise for sharing her secrets with these two new racers.
