Recalling the excitement and competitive spirit of the 2003 RTN Champs in Mattawa, our vision is to host truly national Canadian Championship races in both sprint and weekend-length adventure racing in 2005. Near Fort Coulonge, QC, Esprit Rafting will make a wild and exciting host site for the Champs races this year. The area offers exceptional course design opportunities, including daunting rockfaces and canyons, and churning whitewater of all levels.. The race will be the highlight of the 2005 season:

  • Open to Everyone. While this will be a competitive race with the best teams in Canada, there are no qualifications or restrictions. If your team is looking for an expedition race experience, this is the best opportunity - look at it as a great introduction to longer racing, or as a shorter Raid the North Extreme.

  • Great pricing. Only $1995 for the full 3-day RTN Canadian Champs!

  • Winner's jerseys are back for 2005. The highly coveted Gold (1st place), Red (2nd place), and Blue (3rd place) racing jerseys will be up for grabs at all SAC and RTN events in 05. Jerseys will feature the host site race name, and will become the team's jerseys for the Champs race.

  • Fully Supported. No need to twist the arms of your friends & family. Included in registration is all gear movement and a TA camp, including hot & cold water, as well as provision of all watercraft.

  • NEW - FLEXIBLE TEAM STRUCTURE. For the first time ever, a Raid the North event will accept teams of two, teams of three, or teams of all-male or all-female competitors. In response to market demand, this will be a test to gauge future options. Only coed teams of four will be officially ranked and eligible for prizing, but teams of any size and composition (other than solo, up to four) will be accepted. Team pricing will be based on roughly $495 plus gst per person.
