The post-race celebration had
barely subsided when Enduro Sport came into view
and reached the beach in third place at 11:54.
Fourth place Endurance
Junkies arrived at 13:50, and The Wetter the
Better cruised into fifth place at 14:41.

Paddling from Huntsville across
Peninsula Lake to the Finish Line on the beach at
Deerhurst Resort took most teams just over one hour.
Under the sunny breezy Muskoka skies, Team The Tools
was first to emerge from the channel and arrive on the
beach at 10:28 to fireworks, watermelon and champagne,
claiming at the minimum second place.
Making good time on the water,
Simon River Sports guided their boats onto the
sand at 11:32, claiming the win as the only team to
complete the full advanced course. Wearing their
yellow Champs jerseys, the champagne exploded as SRS
claimed another victory for their impressive race
resume. |

Teams have been passing through
CP11 - located on the Algonquin Outfitters' waterfront
boardwalk in downtown Huntsville - to the curiosity of
locals and tourists. Support crews and race
volunteers have a chance to see teams on their way to
the finish, and give them some last-minute
encouragement. Team
The Tools was the first to pass this checkpoint at
0909 this morning, with Simon River Sports
(10:25) and Enduro Sport (10:37) close behind.
As the only team to undertake the advanced course,
Simon River Sports holds the lead unless they
somehow don't finish the course. The Tools
hold second place, as the regular course race leaders. |

Enduro Sport and The Tools are all paddling
the final leg. All teams have passed CP5, and
roughly half the teams have completed the rappel
section. |

Whew -- time flies when you're
having fun! Simon River Sports has passed
through CP8 in 1st place and are heading into the
advanced section. Enduro Sport: One Week Before
and The Tools are in hot pursuit, and have also
completed the rappel. |

same time, it has been a challenge getting updates.
I have learned that many teams have now passed through
CP3 -- as soon as I have official times, you will find

like the wilderness has slowed the teams down -- for
